The Inter-Fraternity Council met last night to elect its non-executive officers for the coming year.

Last night's election came a week after the IFC elected its executive board in the first of its two-part election process.

The IFC Presidents' Council, which consists of all fraternity presidents, as well as the outgoing IFC governing board voted in the elections, according to outgoing President Andy Paradis.

"I'm very pleased with the way elections went," Paradis said. "We had the most people ever run for positions this year and I think that is a testament to the strength of the system and the legitimacy of the system that so many people wanted to participate."

Incoming IFC President Charlie Morgan said he hopes to increase individual fraternity members' involvement in IFC programs such as the Mid-Autumn's Carnival, the Crimson War Blood Drive and the IFC Judiciary Council.

Morgan said he hopes greater fraternity involvement will strengthen the IFC as a whole.

"It seems that everybody's very passionate and excited about their jobs and I'm very excited about the group of guys we have," Morgan said of those elected last night. "I think we'll have a good diversity of opinions, because we have nine fraternities represented on the board this year."

The incoming IFC executive board consists of President Charlie Morgan, Delta Kappa Epsilon; Vice-President for Membership Brian Kohn, Theta Delta Chi; Vice-President for Administration John Grenier, St. Anthony Hall; Vice-President for Party-Patrol Eric Flow, Kappa Sigma; Vice-President for Judiciary Finis St. John, St. Anthony Hall; and Member-At-Large Brian Poulson, Phi Delta Theta.

The remaining IFC positions are Chairman for Membership Intake Chambliss Shillinglaw, Delta Kappa Epsilon; Chairman for Education, Hunter Deeley, Delta Kappa Epsilon; Chairman for Alumni Relations Cainon Coates, Theta Delta Chi; Public Relations Spokesman Davis Zaunbrecher, Kappa Sigma; Secretary/Treasurer Ryan Mostrom, St. Anthony Hall; Chairman for Community Service Joe O'Brien, Phi Kappa Psi; Chairman for Faculty Relations Cullen Hitt, Chi Phi; Chairman for Diversity Outreach Brandon Walker, Alpha Phi Alpha; Chairman for Inter-Greek Relations Trevor Johnson, Theta Delta Chi; Chairman for Housing and Physical Development Taylor Richardson, FIJI; and Chairman for Publications Jack Barnes, Chi Phi.
